FCG – Flying Crank Ghost additional information:

The following items will be needed to construct the FCG prop.  If you do not have all of these items, don’t go out and buy them.  There will be others at the Gathering who will be willing to share, including myself:

bullet5 – wire hangers.  (These will be used to make the body of the Ghost)
bulletHeavy duty wire cutters, or lineman’s pliers.
bulletNeedle nose pliers
bulletScissors
bullet7/16” wrench, or nut driver, or socket wrench, or adjustable crescent wrench (to put together the main frame of the ghost.)
bullet10mm wrench, nut driver, socket wrench, adjustable crescent. ( to assemble the motor to the main frame )

A set of printed instructions on how to assemble the main frame and the wire frame for the ghost will be included in each kit.

Heavy card stock hands will be included in each kit.  Several options for variations on hands will be discussed and shown, including the balsa wood hands that were built at a mini seminar last year. Options for the marionette will also be discussed and demonstrated.  Many FCG marionettes have no hands (like PropMasters).

Approximately 7 yards of cheesecloth will come with the kit.  This will require bluing, sizing, or just washing prior to use to make it glow under a black light.  Unfortunately, the black lights will NOT be included in the kits.

All kits will have predrilled holes for frame assembly.  A drill or two will be on site to make any modifications you may desire, but not necessary for the FCG to function as designed.

If you have any questions, please contact Dennis Owen at dhowen@sfcn.org or (801) 602-2608.
